PHEV Battery Plant Industrialization

Major Automotive OEM

Challenge

Industrialize a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) battery production plant from concept to full-volume production. The project involved establishing green filed facility in Finland, new manufacturing processes, implementing quality systems, and ramping up to high-volume production.

Approach

     Led feasibility study and industrialization planning for battery production

     Designed and implemented simultaneous engineering processes

     Established comprehensive quality management system including PFMEA and control plans

     Managed production ramp-up with systematic bottleneck elimination
